The Wootton Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 81-32 loss at the hands of Seneca Valley. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wootton has scored all season.
Seneca Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Addison out in front who scored 16 points along with six assists and six steals. Addison is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brielle Watson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds.
Wootton's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Seneca Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wootton will face off against Blair at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seneca Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Einstein at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Einstein is ranked 91st, while Seneca Valley is ranked 70th).
