The Tahoma Bears can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They blew past Decatur, posting a 63-36 win on the road. The win was familiar territory for Tahoma who now have 11 in a row.
Tahoma got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bailey Nettleton out in front who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Adalynn Busch, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Decatur saw an underclassman step up: Iyanna Waltar scored six points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Decatur smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tahoma only pulled down nine offensive rebounds.
Tahoma pushed their record up to 17-2 with that victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Decatur, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.
Tahoma will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Kentridge at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Kentridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Saturday. As for Decatur, they will head out on the road to challenge Mt. Rainier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
