The Louise Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 35-16 to Ganado. That's two games in a row now that Louise has lost by exactly 19 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ganado to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zoey Ybarra, who scored nine points along with six steals and five assists. Ybarra is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Annalyse Thedford, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Louise's defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-19. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.9 points per game. As for Ganado, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-17.
Coincidentally, Louise and Ganado will both be playing Weimar the next time they take the court. Louise will head out to face Weimar at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Ganado will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
