After only one  run in their last  match, Powell made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Carter  on Monday. The Panthers were the clear victors by  a  12-1 margin over the Green Hornets. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by seven  runs or more this season.
 Langston Coggins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Rianna Boone was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with five  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lizzi Lowe, who  went 3-for-5 with two  triples, three  runs,  and one  RBI.
 Powell was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .450. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carter only posted a  batting average of  .125.
Powell pushed their record up to 19-8 with the  victory, which was their tenth straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Carter, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Powell will square off against Gibbs at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Carter, they will challenge Northview Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
