It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Lake George Lakers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They snuck past Granville with a 46-42 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lake George.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake George to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madyson Brennan, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Brennan scored 15 or more points. Chloe Popa was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Lake George's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Granville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake George will take on Hartford Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Hartford Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Friday. As for Granville, they will head out on the road to face off against Argyle at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th.
