Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, Ga.) kept up a steady attack all game long to defeat
Model (Rome, Ga.), 35-6, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter, the Spartans led 21-0 at the half.
Greater Atlanta Christian expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. GAC's lone score in the quarter came on a passing touchdown.
Tyler Dean made a difference for the Blue Devils. He threw one touchdown.
Model's lone touchdown came on a 25-yard pass from Dean to
Jamal Milligan in the fourth quarter.
MHS came in allowing just 17.1 points per game this season. The Norcross school entered the contest giving up 20.9 points per game this year.
The defeat comes as a step back for Model, which notched a 41-21 victory over Dade County in its previous outing. The victory was a step in the right direction for the Spartans, which was coming off a 31-30 defeat at the hands of Lovett in its previous game.
