Northwestern Area's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella Boekelheide, who had 21 assists. That's the most assists Boekelheide has posted over her last six matches.
Meanwhile, Redfield made easy work of Milbank on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.
While Redfield won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14, 25-22.
Redfield found their leader in sophomore Katryn Evans, who had 19 digs.
Northwestern Area's record is now 16-1. As for Redfield, their record now sits at 6-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Northwestern Area has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.3 aces per game. However, it's not like Redfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything went Northwestern Area's way against Redfield in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Northwestern Area made off with a 3-0 win.
