Baseball Recap: Richmond's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

It's playoff time, and Richmond had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Muncie Central Bearcats a 6-0 shutout on Saturday. The Red Devils not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 30th (when they won 11-1).

Richmond got a massive performance out of Weston Jones, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. That's the most hits Jones has posted since back in April. J'Lyn Lewis also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

With the win, Richmond broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-14. As for Muncie Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-20.

Coming up, Richmond will face off against Pendleton Heights at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Muncie Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
