The Covenant Knights won the last time they faced the All Saints Episcopal Trojans, and things went their way on Friday too. Covenant put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 51-29 victory. Given Covenant's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 463rd, while the Trojans are ranked 1076th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Covenant had a senior duo take command as Dobson Beaird dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds and Brady Shahan scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Everett Webb, who scored four points along with four steals.
Jackson Hill and Caz Franks certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hill scored ten points, while Franks scored 11 points.
Covenant's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for All Saints Episcopal, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-17.
Covenant will head out on the road to face off against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McKinney Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for All Saints Episcopal, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dallas Christian is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
