The Red Level Tigers will face off against the Pleasant Home Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Red Level is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Red Level will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Luverne, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. Red Level came out on top against Luverne by a score of 6-3 on Tuesday. The six-run effort marked Red Level's lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Buddy Griffin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Tanner Whatley was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Connor Blackwell, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Pleasant Home was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Paxton, falling 12-2.
Pleasant Home's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Red Level, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Red Level has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Pleasant Home struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Red Level's way against Pleasant Home when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Red Level made off with a 13-3 victory. Does Red Level have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pleasant Home turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
