The West Holmes Knights can finally bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Meadowbrook with a sharp 68-44 victory. For West Holmes, this counts as revenge for the 90-54 loss Meadowbrook walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2017.
Collier Cline was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 15 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Nate Fair, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Several Colts players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Masyn Campbell, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Delancey, who scored 15 points.
The victory got West Holmes back to even at 1-1. As for Meadowbrook, their defeat was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Holmes will take on Madison Comprehensive at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Meadowbrook, they will be playing at home against Sheridan at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Sheridan presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Meadowbrook in Ohio (Sheridan is ranked 351st, while Meadowbrook is ranked 766th).
