The Pocomoke Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Kent County Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Pocomoke is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
Last Monday, Pocomoke was beaten by Bennett 94-50. Pocomoke was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-26.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Lamarquis Douglas, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zymiere Walker, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Kent County came up short against St. Michaels on Thursday and fell 56-46.
Pocomoke has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Kent County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
Pocomoke suffered a grim 61-40 defeat to Kent County in their previous meeting back in December of 2018. Can Pocomoke avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
