Baseball Recap: Johnsonville Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Johnsonville barely beat Hannah-Pamplico the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Flashes blew past the Raiders 12-2 on Tuesday. The Flashes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Landyn Cribb was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gavin Marlowe, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Cribb wasn't the only one making solid contact: Johnsonville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive contests.

Johnsonville pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Hannah-Pamplico, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnsonville will host Latta at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hannah-Pamplico, they will take on Hemingway at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
