The Meade Buffaloes won the last time they faced the Sublette Larks, and things went their way on Friday too. Meade claimed a resounding 46-13 win over the Larks at home. Given Meade's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Larks are ranked 323rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dallas Sherman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlie Martin, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Sublette's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ariana Ornelas, who scored four points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meade is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Sublette, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meade will challenge the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Gray will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Sublette, they will head out on the road to challenge the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
