Tipton dropped their record down to 9-16 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Lapel Bulldogs, falling 7-1. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Blue Devils couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Lapel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-2 record this season. The result was nothing new for Lapel, who have now won 20 games by six runs or more so far this season.

For Lapel's part, Kai Newman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 15 Ks. Newman has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Camden Novak, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ty Jones, who earned three runs and two stolen bases.

As of now, neither Tipton nor Lapel have any future games scheduled.
