After a string of five wins, the Hunt Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a hard 54-35 fall against Fike. While losing is never fun, Hunt can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 295th, while Fike is ranked 112th).
Aiyana Harrison and Tanyha Anthony certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Harrison scored nine points along with five rebounds, while Anthony scored five points.
Hunt's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Fike, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3.
Hunt will take on C.B. Aycock at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fike, they will head out on the road to square off against West Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
