It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Cherokee County Warriors had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They breezed by Central at home to the tune of 56-28. Considering Cherokee County has won nine contests by more than 27 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Jacob Cornejo went supernova for Cherokee County, rushing for 312 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 17.3 yards per carry. Cornejo hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for six straight games.
Cherokee County's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Cherokee County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Central also has no future games currently scheduled.
