Milan is 1-9 against Huron since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Big Reds will venture away from home to face off against the Chiefs at 4:30 p.m.
Milan blew Airport out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Airport got their revenge. The Big Reds fell just short of the Jets by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Big Reds couldn't push the score so high this time.

Gunnar Kruise was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Milan is 5-1 when Kruise posts two or more runs, but 8-17 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Huron had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bears an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Chiefs have won 14 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Huron also got a great performance from Gavin O'Hara as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. O'Hara has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jakob Furkas and Jackson Surma did most of the damage at the plate: Furkas fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4, while Surma got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Furkas has posted over his last 14 matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Russo, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Huron was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .348 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Milan's loss dropped their record down to 13-18. As for Huron, their record now sits at 25-6.
Milan might still be hurting after the 17-2 defeat they got from Huron in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Big Reds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
