Baseball Recap: Shorewood Wins Going Away Against University School of Milwaukee

Shorewood made up a huge gap compared to their last game against University School of Milwaukee, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Greyhounds put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 19-5 win on Saturday. For the Greyhounds, this counts as revenge for the 8-1 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Shorewood got a massive performance out of Tenzin Pavlik, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three hits gave Pavlik a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylen White, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Shorewood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as University School of Milwaukee only posted an OBP of .409.

Shorewood has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 17.0 runs this season. As for University School of Milwaukee, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Shorewood will be playing in front of their home fans against West Allis Central at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University School of Milwaukee, they are taking a road trip to challenge St. Francis at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
