After a string of three wins, the Tampa Bay Tech Titans's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of King by a score of 67-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (59), Tampa Bay Tech still had to take the loss.
King had a senior duo take command as Jabriel Hakim dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds and Julien Barnett scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Barnett has scored at least 25% of King's points. Eric Turner was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Tampa Bay Tech's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3. As for King, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3.
Tampa Bay Tech will take on Hillsborough at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. King won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Spoto at 6:30 p.m. on December 13th. Hopefully Spoto focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
