The Clewiston Tigers and the Lemon Bay Manta Rays squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Clewiston Tigers had to settle for second. The contest between them and the Manta Rays wasn't particularly close, with the Tigers falling 55-41. That's two games in a row now that Clewiston has lost by exactly 14 points.
Lemon Bay was led to victory by Cooper Benedict and Elias Gambrell. Benedict scored six points along with 11 rebounds and seven assists, while Gambrell almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Amry Wells, who scored ten points.
Clewiston has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Lemon Bay, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season.
Clewiston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lemon Bay will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Estero on February 8th. Hopefully Estero focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Thursday.
