The Westhill Vikings were the 44-42 winner over the Lauralton Hall Crusaders when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Westhill was the victim of a tough 42-16 defeat at the hands of Lauralton Hall on Wednesday. Westhill has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Maura Bosse was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten steals for Lauralton Hall. Bosse also pulled down eight rebounds for the first time this season. Katelyn Landin was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Westhill now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Lauralton Hall, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westhill will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Brookfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lauralton Hall, they will challenge Lyman Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lyman Hall is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
