It's playoff time, and Cascade had no trouble coming through when it counted. They secured a 37-33 W over the Lawrenceburg Tigers on Friday. The Cadets' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Cascade got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Toby Savini out in front who rushed for 152 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries. Those 152 rushing yards gave Savini a new career-high. Brady Trebley was another key signal caller, throwing for 151 yards and three TDs on only ten passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cascade was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 333 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 250 rushing yards in five consecutive games.
Despite the loss, Lawrenceburg still got an impressive performance from Keaten McGrath, who picked up 88 receiving yards and one score. McGrath showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 62 yards.
Cascade's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Lawrenceburg, with the defeat, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-2.
