Oakbrook Prep put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 24-1 margin over the Laurens Academy Crusaders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-2 last Tuesday.

Bryce Horton was a standout: he scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since March 1st. Another player making a difference was Austin Bright, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Oakbrook Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Oakbrook Prep pushed their record up to 13-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.6 runs over those games. As for Laurens Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakbrook Prep will square off against Carolina Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Carolina Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.89 runs per game on average), something Oakbrook Prep will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Laurens Academy, they will take on Wardlaw Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
