In what's become a running theme this season, the Deer Park Deer gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They claimed a resounding 54-21 win over Sam Rayburn on the road. Winning may never get old, but Deer Park sure is getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Leading Deer Park to victory were Audrina Silva and Jada McCormick. Silva scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while McCormick scored 12 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McCormick has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Erin Goodson, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Deer Park pushed their record up to 18-13 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Sam Rayburn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-16.
Deer Park will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Houston is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Sam Rayburn, they will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Pasadena focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
