Rigby took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Pocatello, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Thunder on Wednesday. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 19-12 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Easton Wageman was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to triples, as he's now hit at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Farmer, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Rigby's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-14. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Pocatello, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-15.

Rigby does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pocatello, they will challenge Highland at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Thunder surely won't give up without a fight.
