Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Vermillion). They put the hurt on the North Central Thunderbirds with a sharp 20-10 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Thunderbirds: they've now won eight in a row.

South Vermillion let Dallas Coleman and Parker Weir run wild. Coleman went 2-for-4 with three runs and three RBI, while Weir went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Coleman has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Lemmons, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

South Vermillion's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for North Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Coming up, South Vermillion will take on Danville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for North Central, they will welcome Riverton Parke at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Thunderbirds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
