Walker Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sawyer Boyd out in front who picked up 119 receiving yards and two TDs. Boyd was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 51 yards. Walker Valley also got a significant boost from Cason Cunningham, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 153 yards.

Meanwhile, Lenoir City fell victim to Rhea County and their airtight defense last Friday. They had to suffer through a 46-0 loss at the hands of the Golden Eagles. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.
Lenoir City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Walker Valley, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
