The biggest upset of the week belonged to Western Branch, who took down 30th ranked Lakeland, 50-0. Terrance Ricks ran for 110 yards in the win.
The Bruins extended the longest winning streak in AAA Southeastern this week by beating the Cavaliers, 50-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Grassfield's dynamic duo of Blake LaRussa and Paris Smith proved tough for Indian River to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. LaRussa threw for 83 yards and one touchdown and Smith had 44 yards receiving. Tyler Fink helped Grassfield's passing attack out by catching one ball for 25 yards.
The Grizzlies' LaRussa and Smith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. LaRussa has thrown for 517 yards this season, while Smith, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has nine catches for 300 yards. Greg Gibson's team's Josh Marriner leads the league in rushing yards with 684.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Western Branch takes on second place King's Fork. The Bruins defeated Lakeland last week, while King's Fork beat Great Bridge.
