After two weeks on the road, Port Townsend is heading back home. On Friday they will take on Klahowya at 7:00 PM. Klahowya will need to watch out since Port Townsend have now posted big point totals in their last four contests.
Port Townsend strolled past Concrete with points to spare last Friday, taking the contest 36-20. Junior Noa Apker-montoya, who punched in 2 rushing TDs and threw 2 TDs, was a major factor in Port Townsend's success. Apker-montoya has been a consistent playmaker for Port Townsend as this was the 4th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Klahowya put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season. They were the clear victor by a 44-20 margin over Charles Wright. Klahowya were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins bumped Port Townsend to 3-4 and Klahowya to 5-1. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
