Providence Christian Academy had a senior duo take command as Porter Dedman rushed for 148 yards and one score on only 11 carries and Joshua Meier rushed for 80 yards and one TD on only six carries.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jonathan Jordan, who rushed for 83 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries. Another rusher making a difference was Thomas Solomon, who rushed for 134 yards.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Christian Academy will challenge Cannon County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eagleville, they will square off against Community at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
