After a string of eight wins, Lufkin's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whitehouse Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 back in March.

Lufkin's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Whitehouse, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-5.

Coming up, Lufkin will face off against Nacogdoches at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitehouse, they are taking a road trip to square off against Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats are facing the Fightin' Indians at the right time seeing as the Fightin' Indians are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
