The Morton Ranch Mavericks''s five-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 48-7 victory over Mayde Creek. The win was just what Morton Ranch needed coming off of a 41-20 defeat in their prior matchup.
Morton Ranch's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Hall, who rushed for 105 yards and three touchdowns. Martavian Hill was another major influence, as he rushed for 93 yards and ran in a TD.
Morton Ranch's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Mayde Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Morton Ranch will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Jordan at 7:15 p.m. Jordan presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Morton Ranch in Texas (Jordan is ranked 214th, while Morton Ranch is ranked 543rd).
