Chicago Hope Academy will head out on the road to take on the Prosser Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Chicago Hope Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-38 loss to Wheaton Academy.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Amoria Allen, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Janessa Centeno, who scored four points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Prosser suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Curie by a score of 45-42. Prosser has not had much luck with Curie recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Chicago Hope Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Prosser, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
Everything came up roses for Chicago Hope Academy against Prosser in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 54-27 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chicago Hope Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
