Janesville Parker has gone a perfect 10-0 against Madison West recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Vikings will face off against the Regents at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Janesville Parker is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Wilmot on Wednesday as they made off with an 11-1 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Lilly Keller made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Keara Erickson, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Janessa Lewis, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Janesville Parker was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Madison West can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Sun Prairie West by a score of 6-3.
Like Janesville Parker, Madison West also got a great game from a two-way player: Violet Knepp. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Knepp was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Ada Gentry tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.
Back at the plate, Amira Baldon was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
The win made it two in a row for Janesville Parker and bumps their season record up to 9-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Madison West, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-13.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Janesville Parker has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Madison West struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Janesville Parker skirted past Madison West 8-6 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
