Argenta-Oreana is 1-7 against Maroa-Forsyth since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bombers will face off against the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. One thing working in Argenta-Oreana's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
On Thursday, Argenta-Oreana made easy work of Cumberland and carried off an 11-3 win. The Bombers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by eight runs or more this season.
Elyssa Armstrong spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on 12 hits.

At the plate, Gracie Manning was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmy Reynolds, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Maroa-Forsyth was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 8-1 to Williamsville. The matchup marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Maroa-Forsyth also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Danni Hovey gave up three earned (and five unearned) runs on ten hits.
On the hitting side, Maroa-Forsyth saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Ravenscraft, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Argenta-Oreana has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Maroa-Forsyth, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-5.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Argenta-Oreana hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Maroa-Forsyth struggles in that department as they've averaged .329. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Argenta-Oreana's way against Maroa-Forsyth when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Argenta-Oreana made off with an 11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
