Middle Creek extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Cameron Gerber. The Mustangs blew past the Fuquay - Varina Bengals 3-0 on Thursday for which the team can thank Gerber, who had 18 digs and five aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Middle Creek never let Fuquay - Varina on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 27-25, 25-20.

Middle Creek now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Fuquay - Varina, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Middle Creek will host Sanderson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fuquay - Varina, they will head out on the road to face off against Green Hope at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
