It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 41-6, which was the final score in East Henderson's tilt against Pisgah on Friday. While losing is never fun, East Henderson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 380th, while Pisgah is ranked 97th).
Meanwhile, Smoky Mountain came up short against Tuscola on Friday and fell 34-21.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jarek Jones, who threw for 168 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Isaiah McNeely, who rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
The losses dropped East Henderson to 0-9 and Smoky Mountain to 3-6.
East Henderson was dealt a bruising 58-18 defeat at the hands of Smoky Mountain in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Will East Henderson have more luck at home instead of on the road?
