Clio has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Brandon Blackhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Tuesday, Clio suffered a tough 73-53 loss at the hands of Bendle. While losing is never fun, Clio can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 560th, while Bendle is ranked 124th).
Meanwhile, Brandon's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 54-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lake Fenton. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brandon in their matchups with Lake Fenton: they've now lost five in a row.
Clio's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Brandon, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Clio ended up a good deal behind Brandon in their previous matchup back in February, losing 54-40. Can Clio avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
