Basketball Game Preview: Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks vs. Flowing Wells Caballeros

Ironwood Ridge has gone 7-2 against Flowing Wells recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks will be home for the holidays to greet the Flowing Wells Caballeros at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Ironwood Ridge's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Flowing Wells has been banged up by 13 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Ironwood Ridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Marana, taking the game 65-58.

Ironwood Ridge relied on the efforts of Carter Brown, who posted 21 points, and Lucas Anderson, who put up 18 points. Brown's evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Ray, who had seven points.

Meanwhile, Flowing Wells played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Casa Grande and fell 73-26. The game marked the Caballeros' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Ironwood Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Flowing Wells, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Everything went Ironwood Ridge's way against Flowing Wells in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, as Ironwood Ridge made off with a 60-35 win. Will Ironwood Ridge repeat their success, or does Flowing Wells have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
