Big Game from Schertz As Fairland Won 55-6
Starting off the list is Fairland's Carson Schertz, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Schertz threw for 366 yards and four touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns. He has become a key player for Fairland: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.
Fairland's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4. Schertz and Fairland will take on Hominy on Thursday.

Another Game with at Least Three Passing Touchdowns from Trey Bennett
Woodland was led to victory by Trey Bennett, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Bennett threw for 190 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 40 yards and two touchdowns. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
Woodland pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Bennett and Woodland will challenge Afton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Trey'von Shine Has Career Rushing Day
On Friday, Porter got the W thanks in part to Trey'Von Shine playing the best football he has all season. Shine rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 88 yards.
Porter's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. They and Ketchum are set to duel on Thursday.
