There's no place like home for Family Christian, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Tuesday. They were the clear victor by  a  20-1 margin over the Broadmoor Buccaneers on Thursday. Considering the Flames have won nine games by more than nine  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Ethan McDowell looked comfortable as he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. What's more,  he posted four  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in March of 2024.
 On the hitting side,  Parker Ruckman was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was  Terrance Kilbourne, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-1.
 Family Christian was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .636. They are  a perfect 4-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Family Christian pushed their record up to 9-6 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 14.2 runs. As for Broadmoor, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1.
 Looking ahead, Family Christian will square off against False River at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Broadmoor, they will challenge Brusly at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
