The Conestoga Christian Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 69-55 win over Dayspring Christian Academy. The win was just what Conestoga Christian needed coming off of a 58-28 defeat in their prior matchup.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Miracle Johnsons, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. The game was Johnsons' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Kauffman, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Conestoga Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they bumped their record down to 3-3 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conestoga Christian will square off against Lancaster County Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lancaster County Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Conestoga Christian in Pennsylvania (Lancaster County Christian is ranked 129th, while Conestoga Christian is ranked 331st). As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Christian School of York at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Christian School of York comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
