The Heritage Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They were beaten by Woodlan 49-21. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Heritage in their matchups with Woodlan: they've now lost six in a row.
Leading Woodlan to victory were Taylor Kneubuhler and Alyssa Anderson. Kneubuhler scored 16 points along with six rebounds, while Anderson scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. The contest was Kneubuhler's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Brooke Kneubuhler was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds.
Heritage's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-15. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.5 points per game. As for Woodlan, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-7.
Heritage is on the road again on Saturday and play against Southern Wells at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th. As for Woodlan, they will be playing at home against Bluffton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bluffton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
