Capital is 8-2 against Centennial since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Capital Golden Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Centennial Patriots at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Capital is ranked 73rd, while Centennial is ranked 56th).
Capital posted their biggest win since December 6, 2023 last Tuesday. They put the hurt on Meridian with a sharp 49-26 victory. The victory was just what Capital needed coming off of a 68-25 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Centennial's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Middleton at home and fell 64-18. Centennial was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-14.
Capital's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11. As for Centennial, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
Capital was able to grind out a solid win over Centennial in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 46-39. Does Capital have another victory up their sleeve, or will Centennial turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
