The Jemison Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 67-40 loss at the hands of Sylacauga. Jemison has struggled against Sylacauga recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Sylacauga to victory were Q Swain and Revish Bardwell. Swain scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Bardwell scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Erick Oneal was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Jemison has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Sylacauga, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-10.
Jemison will be playing at home against Central of Clay County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central of Clay County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jemison in Alabama (Central of Clay County is ranked 190th, while Jemison is ranked 417th). As for Sylacauga, they will head out on the road to face off against Talladega at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
