It was a good run, but the Wilde Lake Wildecats unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 73-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Long Reach. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (59), Wilde Lake still had to take the loss.
Long Reach had a senior duo take command as Jayden Saunders scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and five assists and Rj Barnes scored 24 points. Junior Nunez was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Wilde Lake now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Long Reach, they pushed their record up to 17-1 with that win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Wilde Lake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-61 defeat vs. River Hill on the 7th. Long Reach has also already played their next contest, a 60-45 victory against Centennial on the 7th.
