Stuart W. Cramer had lost nine straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-14 to make it ten. They lost 16-6 to the Cherryville Ironmen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ironmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-3 on Tuesday.

Brinley Womack was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Dani Tejada was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
As for Cherryville, they now have a winning record of 10-9. Considering they have won nine matchups by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
On Cherryville's side, Jenny Brown made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Brown was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with five runs and two triples. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Landry Beam, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kate Mulvey, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stuart W. Cramer will host East Gaston at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cherryville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bessemer City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
