Heritage is 2-8 against West Shore since August of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Panthers will face off against the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Heritage is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
Heritage proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Edward's, sneaking past 3-2.
Heritage wouldn't go down easily and took St. Edward's into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-19, 16-14.

Heritage got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyra Davis out in front who had 28 kills, 13 digs, and four aces. Davis is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last nine games she's played. Eva Vuichard was another key player, getting ten digs and five aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Heritage was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, West Shore made easy work of Calvary Chapel Academy on Monday and carried off a 3-0 win.
West Shore never let Calvary Chapel Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 27-25, 25-13.
Heritage's record now sits at 12-7. As for West Shore, their record is now 7-9.
