Hale is 0-10 against the Eagles since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Hale Cardinals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Meadville Eagles at 6:00 p.m.
Hale's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Tuesday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grundy County/Newtown-Harris. Hale has struggled against the Panthers recently, as their matchup last Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Meadville put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 94-17 win over Bevier on the road. Meadville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 games by 31 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Korrie Holcer, who dropped a triple-double on 29 points, ten assists, and 17 steals. Holcer is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Paige Carvajal was another key contributor, scoring 26 points along with five assists and three steals.
Hale's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Meadville, their victory was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-0.
Hale was dealt a bruising 106-11 loss at the hands of the Eagles in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Hale, Mallory Dennis (who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
